She was awarded "Best Actress" at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in Les violons du bal (1974), and the film was nominated for the Golden Palm award.
More recently she has divided her time between Paris and Bonifacio, a small town in Corsica.
She was married to film director Michel Drach, and starred in, among others, his film Les violons du bal (1974), that detailed his childhood experiences during World War II. Their son David Drach played Michel as a child in the film.
