Date of Birth

10 December 1944, Los Angeles, California, USA

Daughter of actors Ann Sothern and Robert Sterling

In the film The Whales of August (1987), Tisha played the same character as her mother, Ann Sothern, in flashbacks as a younger woman--named Tisha.

Debuted on the cover of Seventeen magazine with Troy Donahue in June 1962, then soloed for the May 1963 issue.

At 19, she and Danny Lockin, who later played Barnaby in the film version of Hello, Dolly! (1969), screen-tested for the part of Liesl and Rolf in the movie blockbuster The Sound of Music (1965), eventually losing out to Charmian Carr and Daniel Truhitte.

Her aunt was singer/songwriter Bonnie Lake, who wrote such standards as "Sandman," "I've Got Your Number," and "Gracias.".

Was to co-star with Margaret Leighton in the Broadway play "The Chinese Prime Minister" in 1964, but was fired during the tryouts for being too young to play a sexy nymphet.

Actor Richard Egan was her godfather.

Later became a florist and designer in the Sun Valley, Idaho, area, and today only infrequently appears in films. Has one daughter, Heidi Bates Hogan.
